Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Chalice on the rock you say? :thinking-face: im intrigued
Probably slightly lower than where I put the 5. Close to the tip of the rock but not too close to the glass.

They're likely going to compete. 1 will eventually kill the other and take over the frag plug. I'd say that's a good plan and then frag the Zoas when you can.
So zoas follow the monti to its spot till i can frag them and leave the monti without any zoas? :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: sounds good! I did notice the spot you moved number 4 to has a nice little crook i can place it in!

Candy canes can handle some light and some flow. Give them a nice area where they can grow into a big ball.

Chalice on the rock but low - close to the sand.
4" above sand too high you think? Looking for places where I can just set them with no glue for now as I was to be able to move them to clean the rocks if need (until they do what they want anyway lol)

kevin, what about the filter on the very top? i know those dont often need changed but could that be it? no crustys in the lines?
@Nor'easter Reefer i love the coral at the bottom of the pic! what is it? the bubbly looking one.
That's a bounce mushroom it looks like. VERY bounced.

Nah. I had mine about 8" off the sand and it was loving it. Now it's on the sand. I have another 2 about 6" off the sand doing good.

Eventually I want a lot of sps and the lights up high, I figured I could block a lot of the light with the monti cap and the digitata etc and eventually the others can live in the shadows of them. You think what I out the digitata in my first picture would be too high and out in the open?

Has anyone else watched the series Landman with Billy Bob Thorton on Amazon? Great series!
Not yet but it's been recommended to me a couple times

Here's my Digitata.
1000006250.jpg

Approximately 3" below the water directly below the light which sits about 9" above the water at 100% pushing nearly 300 par at the surface.

Sorry for the poor picture, just a quick shot through dirty glass.

You got checked out the actual par? I'm wondering if it want to get/rent a par meter

What about this little guy with the superman monti?

I have a Superman in the highest place in my tank - about an inch higher than the Digi directly under my second light and another about halfway up the tank on the glass. A very slow growing Monti.
