Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Did you notify the notrifying bacteria before hand that you were going to do this? ;)
I didnt want them letting the nopetrifying bacteria know what i was doing

I think time is what you need now. but I would still dump more pods in there. turn the pumps off at dark and dump in DT and sump. wait like 20-30 minutes for them to fall to the rock/sand before turning the pump back on. this way the fish don't see or eat them and get a chance to hold on before ending up in your socks.

I put a bottle or 2 of pods from algae barn in a long time ago and they have absolutely taken hold but I probably need more variety.. lemme see if I can find the bottle again so I can figure out which kinds I got

Wish i had a surplus snail situation haha. I gotta look into which snails reproduce well in our tanks
Trochus snails can reproduce in our tanks. And I think they have the biggest success rate. I don't think there are many snails that will though, maybe stomatella and strombus, but the chances are lower.

Forgot to post this earlier when we were discussing coral/fish food. I spot feed my Cynarinas, symphyllia, scoly with this food. ALL of my fish, including the dragonet eat it. The food is made of all human grade seafoods. It gets eaten completely. Everything in my tank improved when I added this to the tank.

I gotta order some cuc anyway so might as well try them lol

You are correct sir, I do get baby nassarius snails also but unlike Trochus snails they never seem able to make it to adulthood.

Stomatella will totally out produce Trochus but they're easier prey for wrasses and other predator fish.

So a 120 with probably another 35-45gal of sump space... call it double?
My 135 with 30 gal sump was almost exactly 100 gallons. My up with 30 sump is right at 70 gallons.

I'd call it 5-10 mL once a week to every other week as needed. I only use it when I start seeing red in the sandbed.
