Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I was at an impasse for chemiclean. 3 powerheads and 1 gyre, nearly afraid to tear down LPS because of flow. I am working from home so I was turkey baster the coral at least 3 times per day but it was still suffocating corals. Water change every 3 days followed by micro bacter 7 (5ml). I kept 72h not 48h as nothing was done yet. I finished with 20% remaining that disappeared with water change, turkey baster and coral snow. Now the balance between nitrate and phosphate is more stable.

For the reactor I tried phosguard and rowaphos but still couldn't read anything on Hanna. Only lanthanum make it reduce but didn't fill safe to add it daily few ML. It allows me to know that the tank releases 0.22ppm per day until stabilization. I add chemi pure elite but cannot read but at least the water is clearer.

Have you looked into up flow algae scrubbers? It's an organic solution to nutrient uptake and actually allows more availability to vital nutrients to your corals.

You're offering nuisance algae a place to grow other than your display. It absorbs the nutrients in your water as it grows, and as the P04 is released from the rocks, it is removed from the water coloumn.

Santa Monica filtration is a good look at these. There's definitely some science there, and a size and application for almost every tank size and style.

is that a flame hawk? i used to have one! was the sweetest fish. would sit in your hand! until the day my heater malfunctioned:loudly-crying-face:
Aww, that is no good.
I have lightly become obsessed with these, Jill. What size tank did you have the fish in, or max size you would recommend?

That would be great but difficulty to ship and no sump place. I am above 1 years at some point the rocks will stop leaching hopefully.

Wow absolutely perfect french. They are.
My wife has a minor in French and she helped me filter my family's Louisiana Acadian (cajun) French to send that message. Lol, we're not usually up this late but the kids are at grandma's.

On live aquaria it said 30G. I am at 55 and he stays on one half.
I have a 40 gallon cube with a lot of rock ledges. There might not be enough sand bed. Maybe it would work?

No grand parents as I am living abroad, my kid non stop with us :face-with-spiral-eyes:. I think so it should work fine. He is staying on the rock on the right or the frag rack.
