Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
First three frags, the zoas/palys? The encrusting and the small hammer.

whatever this thing is

Another kevin but in red

and this thing

I think the green area Green Death Palys or something like that (?), Zoas are unknown - maybe a Candy Apple and a Fruit Loops, encrusters is hard to see - likely a Monti or Styloconiella, hammer is probably either a Purple Tip or Rainbow, this "thing" is a Stylophora, red Kevin is likely a Pink Birdsnest, green "thing" looks like maybe a Montipora Capricornis (plating Monti)

Too much shedding?
Too much fish tanks/animals in the house. I had chickens, quails, Bearded Dragon, Saltwater Reef, and multiple freshwater tanks, a cat, and 4 dogs.

i saw an ad too bubbles! id love to give them a try. sounds intresting
hopefully I can transplant my tomatoes and peppers tomorrow and plant the rest. All these steroids may give me the boost. beans, squash and cucumber seeds I'll start too.

You can see the encruster a little better.. lemme see if i can get a better pic... it'll be under blue lights but maybe can see the polyps or whatever you wanna call em better?

what are your guys thoughts on siphoning sand? ive heard so many conflicting things. some say dont touch it and let your cuc clean it. others have said absolutely suction it because you need to clean all the yucky stuff out. im just wondering because its getting harder to clean the sand with all the corals:rolleyes:. hate disturbing them everytime i clean
oh and i love horse shoe crabs! i need to get another one someday!

I didn't in my 15g, but when I took it down, the amount of gunk was unbelievable.

I'm not going to syphon my sand, but I'm going to get tons of CUC to help keep the sand clean, and I'll also turn it over every few days with some wooden stick or something.

With my current tank I have never. Conches, nassarius snails, diamond watchman goby and ceriths have done the job.
