Ide like to share a sad song ,I lost my mother to substance abuse 26 days after i turned 18 had to grow up super fast for me and my sister never really got time to grieve over it since it was hardcore survival mode now 35 now and recently found this song that hits hard every time

I lost my Dad on New Years Eve 2020. He had been in the hospital for almost a month and we couldn't go see him due to covid. He was also in icu, so he couldn't talk on the phone. Talk about not getting to say goodbye. But I imagine he would've tried to encourage me, just like your Daddy did with you. He wasn't worried about himself, he just didn't want you to hurt. How beautiful Amanda, thanks for sharing.

I am so sorry you didn't get to say your goodbye I can't imagine how painful that was for you.

That was one of the toughest parts for sure. My solution to that has been to just continue to talk to him everyday.

That's how I felt about it too. There was so much bad information about covid at the time. Ironically he caught covid in the hospital where we weren't allowed to go.... due to covid.
Luckily my childhood friend who basically grew up at our house was his head icu nurse. He was there with him. You can't make this stuff up. Life (and death) are just crazy .....lol

I am the youngest of 4, my middle sister disowned our family in 2018 after my mother passed. So its basically me who turns 60 in may and my oldest sister who turned 76 in January . since we’re talking nutrients what are all of your target parameters vs what your tank is actually at

Target, .05-.1 phosphate and 10-15 nitrate. Actual, .25 phosphate and 25 nitrates. I got it down a few times only to have it raise again. I figured everything looked great so I quit trying 2-21/2 years ago.

My nitrate goal is probably in the 8-10 range. Currently at 1.5... yikes.. my phosphate goal is .03 currently at .03... neat!

Wow everyone’s an extremely different take on nutrients I tested mine yesterday.
PO3-13.7
PO4-0.07

LFS is telling me it’s way to low all around he suggests pO4 at 1.00ppm

My anthias is still alive, though I'm not sure if she'll make the night. About an hour ago I thought she was very moribund. She actually improved and is now able to hold herself upright, where as before she was on her side, or even at times belly up.

On a good note - my corals should arrive tomorrow if there are no delays.

Yeah I’m pretty comfortable where my numbers are currently in past setups I’ve always battled high nutrients
