I don't know what to do in this case, I have never removed the sand in this tank so that they always have to eat, and with this problem of high phosphates I can't add food in quantity.

I never had a sand sifter. Red fromia and Aussie biscuit. Fromia was a crab smorgasbord to one leg and didn’t recover. (Hermits). The biscuit didn’t survive my tank acclimation when I transferred her to the big tank. But was thriving until then. I think once the leg is gone in a tank, it will succumb but in the wild might have a chance. I’d leave it till it gets worse or the crabs come snacking.

I added mine yesterday, and it's just hiding in a cave. My exquisite wrasse tried to say hi, and the shrimp got terrified.

Please talk me out of it but I’m itching to release these shrimp into my dt. They have been in the acclimation box for just over two weeks. I told myself I would not put them in until they got bigger and have had at least three molts, they have had two. Last time I put a small one in the blood red cleaner shrimp, at least 4 times bigger, immediately chased it behind the rocks never to be seen again. Talk me down please.

I’ve never had a problem with cleaner shrimp and fish. Somehow they know their utility.

I think the little shrimp just had a rough few days, like going to the show, being transported to my tank, and going into a new environment. I hope he comes out soon, and I love when they clean my hands!

Looks like it Amanda. I covered the one I saw yesterday with epoxy, and hope that's the last I see of them, but I doubt it. I may consider getting a copperband butterfly.

It's the pico and it's the rock that has the little mushrooms on it. I only see the two what do I do again to get rid of them? Boiling water squirted on them? I also have super glue if that would kill them.

I would take the rock out if you can, and do the treatment in a separate bowl of water. You don't want their spores (they're not really spores, but I'm going to call them that) getting into the water column

Cover it with superglue

You could do that, vinegar, kalkwasser or cover them with super glue/epoxy.

Everything is looking fat and full! I do not run heavy blues during peak hours. I like a more natural look. This is with no filters.
