Well I moved my tailspot blennies barnacle across the tank from the torch, and that seems to have done the trick. I'll keep watching to make sure it doesn't continue.

Sorry to hear. In other news,my Favias have been going the way of Luis's... Just caught the Foxface having some nibbles... :face-with-rolling-eyes: I guess no more Favias, the Foxface stays.

Question, My New York nicks torch from SBB has always looked ragged from day one, even from the first days on the sand until placement. I think the flow is ok, lighting is within recommended range, it appears to be happy. video is not that great and under blue light. My first go around with a torch. Heard they tend to fade away if things are not pristine.

That’s the same torch I just posted a video of. Looks like it’s getting decent random flow, it could probably take just a little bit more but the torch looks good to me. What levels are your magnesium and calcium at?

tested last Wednesday, did water change yesterday, so could be different. my terminology is simple, copy and paste from notes

calcium - 420
phos - .025
nitrate - 5.0
dKh - 9.0
mag - 1350
ph - 8.0

I didn’t catch that I thought it was.25, .025 is basically zero, no bueno.

they probably just dropped from the water change, i use I.O. reef crystals, mag and calcium probably ok, plus I dose AFR. The nitrates where higher, what's a good number ?

right at 100 PAR were it is, light schedule was shortened with dinos, slowly bringing is back up , i'm at 9 hrs lighting now

Mine are flashing at 0.90 right now. I shoot for 0.14-0.2 so that's a good number. Nitrates should be around 25-50 with phosphates at 0.25. I gotta bring mine up - 10.4 nitrates at 1.0 phosphates is not a good number. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I'm dosing Ammonium which drops nitrates temporarily.
