I used it years ago for many years.
Hated the residue in my mixing buckets but I have to say red sea blue bucket was giving me particulates too.
I think I still prefer good old IO purple bucket it's so clean (for me) but I have to say I'm impressed with the crystals so far.

I clean my brute out after every mix is used up

Dose trace elements - done
Dose Microbacter7 - done
RowaPhos bag change - done
Clean Skimmer - done

Been dosing microbacter 7 as well.
First time ever in all these years.
I was running a HOB with rowaphos and took phos from 1.79 to about 1 but couldn't get it lower.
So I bought a reactor and immediately dropped phos to a consistent .38 in about 12 hours.
The stuff is amazing.
Almost too good.
I'm trying for. 25, trying to beat this brown algae problem.
It is working.
Also lowered lighting to 5% white, 10% blue.
Going to keep it there for 4 weeks and just ramp up slow.

@tbrown , when you started your phyto, did you do single strain or mixed

Single. I'm running Nanno right now, looking at adding 3 more varieties and 3 Pods plus rotifers soon.

Starting with mixed strains can cause early crashes from my understanding.

Just 3 ingredients.
1 C Flour
1 jar Old English Cheese Spread
4TB butter (1/2 stick)
mix at room temp. roll into 1" balls (~30)
freeze for 2 hours then store.
bake from frozen at 350 for 15 minutes.

I bought this on ebay for $35.

I bought a little jebao dc pump for $40, little hose and rowa.

My LFS is putting in an order for fish. I'm getting a tomini tang (45$). Any other fish you reccomend? Of course, I really want a blue tang ($95) but I don't think that'll work out.

Yellow watchman goby and a pistol shrimp maybe, If there were more wrasses it would be my first choice ;)

Wish I could get a tang, even bristle tooth tangs might be to much for my tank. Irony of the situation, wife stated "why didn't you get a bigger tank" the other day. I was shopping for a 120 gallon, she insisted on a 40b since that's what she had before. I figured a 40b would be good for my sump. but here we are

I was thinking of that, but there's only tiger pistol shrimp which I've heard can cause sand issues when they're older, like they get bored and make tons of burrows.

I really want a colorful tang, tomini is what would work best, but it's not that colorful...

I was also looking at a cleaner wrasse.
