Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Thanks Luis!
That worked for me.
I've been getting double notifications when I actually get them lol.
I'll see if this works.
Back to the other topic, what do you plan to do with the tanks? Start with new rock the same day you empty it, I suppose 😉 , you can get rid of the rock only and put new rocks

I am going to send you some hungry monsters. They are going to take out the aiptasia quick, they will have your tank cleaned up in no time.

Thanks again for your order.
Can't wait! Ill keep you updated on the progress.

So what are you thinking, a break down and redo or are you leaving saltwater ( please don’t be the second one, please don’t let it be the second one, please don’t let it be the second one!)?
One thing I do know is I'm not about to leave you guys!
As far as the tank goes, I really don't know.
I've thought about starting all over again with a bigger glass tank but I don't know if I have the energy for it.
I'm finally happy with my lights and everything else.
If the aiptasia would just die out I'd keep going.
I'm just super bummed the berghia did nothing.
I've learned a few things through this experience and I can help others along the way.

Any of you young kids on here know how I can shut the alerts off for the R2R app it’s driving me even crazier than I am? Tim?
Yeah...

But it looks like you got taken care of.

Curious: why not try a Tasseled Filefish? Mine worked for Aiptasia and ate pellets and flake.

I'll have to start completely over Luis I'm afraid.
Everything.
Tank, rock, sump.
All the equipment and most likely all the fish.
When I catch them, the slightest drop of water can contain aiptasia spores.
Aiptasia are intense.
I've never had a tank crash, illness outbreak, failed heater or other catastrophes.
But I've had aiptasia...

I've thought about it Tim I have.
Just don't know if he could handle the tank environment.

Perhaps another go around from a different vendor, they do work, I’ve used them twice. Maybe you got a week unhealthy batch. Let’s wait and see how John’s batch does. I know I got great results from Reeftown and John’s vendor seems great.

Mine were from Reeftown as well.
That sounds like a good compromise, I'll see how John's do.
It can't get much worse for me??? So waiting a little bit might be ok?
I really just need a mental reset, something positive I can do or say every time I look in there.

Well, that trigger is positively striking! What a unique, amazing fish. 😁
I know what you mean though. That's how I felt when I had an issue with copper in my system.

Good luck John!
Get those bad girls you're tank is amazing!
I'm thinking about breaking down both my tanks I can't take the aiptasia anymore.
Wasted almost $300 on berghia.
I'm always pulling for you my friend!
That would be heartbreaking to see man. I understand this struggle. All of the options are expensive or not a sure thing. I hope this doesn't happen. We will be here for you no matter where this journey takes you

Thank you John. 😊

I liked Reeftown.
The service and the care.
I know you had success but how long did it take for you to notice a difference?
If you are addressing me, it was a good 2-3 weeks before I started noticing improvement and a good 1 1/2-2 months before it didn’t see any aptasia at all. The caption at Reeftown says it is the 2nd and 3rd generations that get the job done. I know the odds are small, I don’t know how many you got but there’s the possibility they were all the same gender even if a couple identified as another gender. 😉
