Where are you getting it from? Some places sell CBB that are already trained on frozen, etc.
I think it is a good idea to keep it separated for a bit and train it to eat prepared foods.

its from dr reef. i totally believe him when he says they are eating when they leave. this is not a slam on him at all. he does an amazing job! but it just seems like somehow the shipping throws them off i guess. so my little pico has a heater. what all should i use to get it going? i piece of rock and water from my main tank?

I would add a little aerator (bubbler)as well. I’m assuming that they come very small if you are using a one gallon?

no not necessarily. they are a nice size. do you think thats too small? i have a bigger one. 10 gallon i think. but its just a tank not a whole set up.
I would think that would be better than the one gallon.

The rock is a good idea , if it has aiptasia, even better. You can also add tigger pods in case that he arrive stressed and doesn't want to eat frozen food the first few days.

hows your cbb doing luis?
Pretty good, he doesn't fight for food yet, nor do I think he will, but he's intelligent, he positions himself where the food falls that the fish don't catch above and he eats a lot, I think I saw him eat the whole brine shrimp yesterday without cutting it, but today I'm going to take a closer look.

I'm glad yours is doing well. I really want to add a CBB once my new tank is up.

I'd try and to the 10 gallon if you can.
Also, I am interested in seeing how the CBB does once it arrives. I just posted to Luis, but I want to add a CBB.
