I have wifi! I went tide pooling this morning after going hiking at 6:00 AM. I didn't see much on the hike because it was drizzling, super foggy, and like 55f. At the beach, I saw a bunch of Aggregating Anemones (Anthopleura elegantissima)! They were in huge groups getting hit by waves and buried in sand. Some were as big as 5 feet across on huge rocks! Bit cloudy for decent photos, but still pretty.

Huge clump on a rock over 5ft across

Lovely rainbow colors if you look closely on the aggregating anemones!

And a singular Giant Green Anemone (Anthopleura xanthogrammica).

I have a bunch of non-ocean animal photos and many more tide animals, from snails to aquatic isopods, that I'm still sorting through. These anemones are gonna be my new profile photo!

It was! Gonna go hike the same trail tomorrow to get some better photos of the California Quail flocks.

The Grosbeak only are around for a short period as they move on to their final destination. They are a beautiful bird!

I have black-headed grosbeaks near me that are only around in the summer, then they winter down in Mexico!
