Wow, I thought cleaning mine weekly was a lot, and sometimes it doesn't even fill up.

2 days worth. If I dont clean it tomorrow it'll overflow. Plus the neck starts to get gummed up and it stops working really. I've considered buying a necklace scraper but then I'd need a skimmate collector too as i'm sure its efficiency would go up and both those together im looking at like $400+ soo not now haha. Maybe if I win something soon I'll get them! Kinda fell off the giveaway train

I love my skimmer. I pull a full skimmer cup out every 3 days or so. Probably like 4 or 5 measuring cups worth? And its potent. Pee-yew!

I think if I ran one, I'd have no nutrients lol. Im always on the low side. I admit that I like having something to do with my tank almost everyday. So I like swapping the filter pads, hand dosing and doing water changes. I know im weird lol.
I try to catch some of the junk before it decays, and keep the nutrients down with the nitrifying bacteria in the live rock.

My dad's has a small hose like a drain and he made an adaptation that goes directly to a gallon so it can be used longer without cleaning it.

I had to do a proper pulled pork sandwich this evening after all the pork pulling yesterday.

Unfortunately, that's not proper. A PROPER pulled pork will have the pork dripping off the sides and the bun should be soggy. You're not fooling anyone!

My dad's has a small hose like a drain and he made an adaptation that goes directly to a gallon so it can be used longer without cleaning it.

Mine has that as well, the collector is basically a fancy version, with a automatic shut off on it so if it gets too full, it'll shut off versus overflow.
