Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
maybe. first time he's been there. but the urchin came up too. I dropped some algae wafers in the tank this morning.
When I lost my 2 Birdsnests those were the signs that something was wrong, snails and others spent hours there, at some point I even removed them from there but they always came back hours later

Microwave with paper towel.

When I’m in a hurry I microwave, paper towel on a plate with a paper towel covering it. My youngest son says it’s his favorite way to have it cooked.

easy clean up too. but I have not tried peppering the towel yet. does that make it spicy? 😆

I need to try this instead of paying extra for microwavable bacon.
it works great and sucks the grease away from the bacon. 2 sheets of paper towel on plate, one sheet of paper towel over it. microwave on high for 6-8 minutes pending your microwave. (stop and peak at 6 minutes). you will need a pot holder to touch that plate. it gets extremely hot. and obviously don't wash the plate till it cools.

Thank you! I have taken a screen shot of the instructions so I can try it!

yeah, checking at ~6 minutes then again a bit later etc...to make sure you don't burn it. after doing it a while in your own microwave you will get a feel for how long. usually 6 pieces of bacon fit on a plate. it also depends on if you buy thick cut or thin cut bacon. I buy thick. thin cooks a bit faster. sure beats cleaning up grease from the cooktop or oven.
