Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Sweet. How easy is it to scratch.
It scratches, and, since it's used is probably scratched already.
But no big deal dude.
It's a sump.
I can't even see through mine anymore.
Like Tim said, if you want/need a display refugium, clean it properly, otherwise, since I have a light over mine, it's covered in coraline, rock, snails and algae.
Very interesting

You're up late Camden.
I've never cleaned my sump.
Me either. Other than scraping a little gunk off in one spot to make the water level easier to see.

I've cleaned algae out of the gutters and sucked detritus out of the return chamber a time or two...

Good Morning Peeps!

so smell this morning. clams that were open are closed. I wonder if they were spawning? I shut the moon cycle off last night and closed the house windows. the past 3 days these are things that changed. I'll check the pH later but the fresh air in the house may have spiked pH?

And why is everyone after this stylo? I don't get it.

gutter? house or tank? never heard the tank called gutters before. then again first time I moved to Maine and there was some rain someone asked if the roads were greasy? that was a new one to me. but makes sense.

Good morning everyone! Got woken up by the sound of water dripping at 1:00. Somehow the ATO hose on my pico had fallen out of the tank and the pump had kicked on and there was about 2 gallons of water on the floor it had almost emptied the reservoir out. While it was not fun to be up cleaning water at that time of morning I'm glad it was not the tank. The piece that holds the hose to the tank a while back broke so I have just had the hose stuck down in the filter. Today my project will be too figure out something to hold the hose in place.

Got done with an ark survival evolved session with a buddy. Had to finish taming our daedons. Woke up at 6 this morning and went to go setup a 5k. Today the seller is going to give me the width dimension. If it fits my stand I'll score a very cheap sump.

that's great that the tank wasn't affected. something easy, run to HD or Lowes and get a couple plumbing elbows to make a "U". you can slide the hose through it and hang it on the tank.

Me neither, I put 3 trochus and a crab there and they take care of the cleaning and now I think I have more than 10 baby trochus on the display and many more in the sump

I have Limpet explosion down there. I dumped 2 emeralds and a hermit there recently.

Good morning Peanut, I’m glad it wasn’t something worse!

For now I taped it with shipping tape the hose is small so I don't know if they have any elbows small enough. I'm going to email the company on Amazon i got it from and see if i can get just the plastic part that broke.

Good morning Camden, I hope it works out for you!
