What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Good morning Tom. How's the tank rocking?
Still ramping up the Meridian but so far so good. My green hammer is still not doing too well and the Fiji birdsnest got knocked off its mount again so not happy but overall the tanks doing well. I'm getting ready to start trying to get my nutrients back in line and I'm seriously considering a controller setup to automate some of my testing. Getting lazy I guess.

Did you get the brackets?

You clearly have a good grasp of my musical sensibilities. Looking down the posts, you outdid yourself last night. It'll take awhile to go through all of your smorglections, especially since I'm still stuck on the playlist behind mine (currently playing Mountain's 'Nantucket Sleighride').
I got into that album last night and immediately had to send you a track. Im glad you enjoyed it, and the jams last night. I thought it would be a fun good morning for everyone :)

@kingranch2003 WOW!! You killed last night with the music brother. Your taste is quite eclectic and awesome!!
Thanks Rock! I was just trying to represent all of us to show we come together to make an awesome Playlist of people. You and your "song" are a huge part of the Smorgasbord "album"

I was just singing this one to the kids the other day! They had no clue what I was singing. My wife was gonna pull out the CD.
That's so cool man lol. Im really glad to see someone's out there doing it right. AND still has that cd!

I know this is a late response. As things grow in, you may need to adjust flow, move your powerhead or add another small one.
I think im going to add one more small one and have it pointed up or down at the euphyllia. Im on your train of thought that the extra flow is beneficial

What's happening with your hammer?

I did get the brackets sir. I think I sent a DM. Thank you again!

I will post a picture from several months ago and a recent one. You can see how much the euphyllia, well everything in the tank, have grown. My flow has always been above "what's recommended by the experts "

I think you will find your corals "happier" once the flow is increased a bit. You don't want strong laminar flow on euphyllia though, it should be random. If my flow was laminar across the euphyllia, I'd turn it down rather than risk tearing the flesh bands. However, it is very random and chaotic. The video really didn't show it well, I will do a longer video later to really show how they move.

Good morning Smorgville. It's going to be a while until I catch up. I'm still stuck in an awesome playlist courtesy of John.
Enjoy brother! That's great that you liked the jams. Makes my day

Looking forward to that! My wavemaker now is on random mode. I think if I run one on the opposite side, the opposing flow will give me what I need. Because Looking at your video, it's obvious that I dont have enough.

It's not opening fully and it has lost a few heads. It never really came back after I lost the two indo torches and Cipro'd the tank. It was very near the two indos but the Cipro didn't seem to affect it either way. I don't see anything wrong with it, it isn't flow or light so I'm thinking it's 'ticked off hammer having a hissy fit disease'. It still has about 18 active heads and I'm just giving it time to either recover or die, its choice. I traded a partial box of the original Turkish TM Pro Salt for it when it had two heads so I may just frag it but right now I'm playing a waiting game with it to see which of us caves first.
