The rest of my fish are super fast eaters I could try it though. What would you guys do?

Pellets are good for that. When I add pellets for him, I try to spread them around the tank a bit, so some will hit the bottom and he'll have to hunt around for them like he prefers. It is something to consider though. He has to have a chance to eat of course.

Definitely check with the LFS first though. I tried one thinking my system had a ton of pods. Unfortunately, copper was sky high in the system, so my pods had all died, and mine wouldn't eat anything else. My fault. I was used to a different LFS who got theirs eating before selling, so I didn't ask.

You had a ruby red dragonet? The sky high copper probably didnt help the fish either. :(

There's always the option of using multiple pickle jars so you still might not be safe...

Yeah. Probably not. The whole copper episode was really frustrating. It's documented in my build thread.
