Good morning Smorg peeps!

Oh, that’s Maxwell House hazelnut, vanilla, caramel pumpkin spice coffee because I’m a coffee snob!

Good morning folks, I hope y'all are doing well.

When I said I was sick a few days ago, I had Covid. Yesterday was my first day feeling "better". Its spreading around like crazy here. Anyways, this week is going to be insanely busy so I probably won't be on much. I hope y'all have a nice week!

Good morning Walker, I hope you’re feeling better soon. Sorry to hear, no fun!

Now that you mention it I started using my skimmer again and seem to be having to clean the glass more often on my big tank could that be why? That's the only thing I have changed. On the other hand since I added copepods to my pico I'm not having to clean the glass twice a day now it's every 3 or 4 days which is really nice. Maybe my big tank needs more pods...
It could have a lot to do with flow and lightning as well Amanda

Seems I had a bit of a hissy fit. Any collectable's value is contingent only on what someone is willing to pay. I think it is great that vinyl and cassettes, tube amps/preamps and slot cars are all seeing renewed interest.
Im pretty sure everyone here values your opinions on both of these subjects, Tom. All of our shared passion for reefing and music are a big part of why we interact the way we all do. Be yourself and speak your mind, brother. I learn something from you guys/gals almost daily.

Hopefully you have Bluetooth on you laptop. If so, there are any number of Bluetooth speakers with a decent sound these days. Better than laptop speakers anyway. You can totally upgrade your listening enjoyment at very little expense.
I was given a small jbl Bluetooth speaker for Christmas. You're right Chris, I couldn't believe how amazing the sound was.

doesn't it continue to mix when you do a WC? just sounds so odd. don't mix for more than X hours but in the tank the powerhead keep mixing it?
That's why I say I don't buy it about 4 hours max. If their salt dissipates that quickly I should have a tank full of dead everything. Saltwater is constantly mixing. I like how easily and quickly blue bucket mixes but Red Sea's marketing hype gives me headaches.

Good morning, all, and happy Sunday!

Sending everyone peaceful and harmonious vibes for your day.

Another full day of things to get done for me followed by having to drive across the state again for work tomorrow.

As they say…

Be safe out there man!

Happy Sunday everyone

This is Blind Guardian. If you’re familiar with metal bands you probably will know who these guys are. For those that don’t. This is a band formed in 1984 and are considered one of the main pioneers for speed metal (fast guitar and higher drum beats) and power metal (characterized by fantasy lyrics, synth/keys, and people belting vocals). This is one of their best songs imo. You get a good length, great vocals, some backing vocals to drive the overall presentation home, and some amazing guitar work.

I’ll bounce around on here from time to time today! Sundays are usually pretty busy for me and I’m in the process of packing up my house for moving so that adds to me being busy, haha

Great stuff! I forgot about these guys! Ill be listening to this band today. Here's one for you.

So good to hear from you Walker

I started my cube with Imagitarium and Natures Ocean Salt Water then switched to IO Reef and would occasionally go back and forth with laziness. The big tank I started with HW and never did anything else. I just buy when it's on sale. The HW mixes pretty clean and fast without a haze. Though I'm doing the shake method now. mix directly in storage containers during my RO making day and save till I WC. I've had to come up with easy methods for me to do this. No more hose in the tank either to drain and fill. I found the easiest for me is to just use a 1/2 gal pitcher and a towel to contain drips. 20 pitchers out, then pour from the jugs into the pitcher and 20 back into the tank. only the main pump gets turned off in the process. (takes at most 10 minutes) the powerhead are below the line and don't bother turning heater off. storage water is at room temp of 74 degrees and tank is at 76 so I don't even bother heating it anymore.
I mix 200 ish gallons at a Time and use a pump and 1" poly hose to transfer the water under the house to the sump. I try to do a 40 gallon water change weekly. That's more than 10%, but I figure if I get behind and miss one occasionally I have a buffer
