Not necessarily. Our flame hawkfish will sometimes sit on the sand or a rock near the sand and pounce up to get food.

I had the option to get one of those too.. I think they're cool. Can I keep two hawkfish in the same tank?
I plan to only add a tomini and a clownfish.. I'm not sure if I'd add anytbjbg else after that point as that'd be 6 fish.. should I push for 7.. dwarf angel?

This one is weird.. he does circles around the rock.

Good sign and he seems fine.
Just remember for the rest of your time in this hobby no two fish are the same so, if you see one in your lfs you want, tell them to hold it for you and go and visit it often before taking it home.
Then you'll know.

It's not about how many fish or going by some list some reefer said is the law of saltwater fish keeping.
It's about the RIGHT fish.
I once had a tank, 60 gallon with one Niger trigger.
That was it.
One of my favorite tanks I ever had.
That guy was a blast, so much fun.

Two hawkfish would be down to one hawkfish before long, I believe.

Can you post a picture? If it's the 1/4 inch press fit type line, make sure it's pushed all the way into the socket. I made that mistake on my phyto culture
