Please make me!
We just did this today between making other food, shopping, boat work, playing video games...Well you get the idea.
Cheese Balls!
4 ingredients: Cheese Spread, Flour, Salt, Butter.
* 1 stick butter (1/2 Cup) room temp
* 2 Cups Bread Flour
* 2 Jars Old English Cheese Spread (room temp)
* 1/2 tsp Salt
* Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes
( for a kick, roll them in Chile pepper)
Remove butter from fridge and let warm to room temp. (~1 hour)
Place 2 cups flour into mixing bowl. Add butter, cheese spread, salt and mix thoroughly. A dough mixer is best.
Still not mixed enough.
Now it's mixed when it turns back into play dough type dough.
Roll into 1 inch balls. (larger flattens like a pancake when cooked)
little kids work great for how many you need to roll. (notice also kids inconsistent sizing)
Freeze for at least 2 hours on the baking sheet.
(Really you want to see it in the freezer?)
Keep in a sealed container, bag etc...afterwards, until ready to cook.
Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes until golden brown on bottom and serve warm.
these are a really great appetizer. you could also roll in crushed nuts before freezing but I really don't like nuts in food.
