So....
New job has me out of town about 10 miles east, along a sketchy highway so last Monday I retired the daily 1 mile a day daily driver, the 06 silverado, to the driveway and bought my first car since 1992...

I thought for sure I wasn't going to like it but it's incredibly cool and super smooth on the road so it's been a nice change.
A lot safer too...

That was how the week started.
Buying a car is great and all but I'm not putting it up there on my stress free list for sure.
Then Thursday my wife called.
She was at the vet.
Suddenly, our 14 year old morkie Charlie passed away .
He'd had Cushings disease for about a year and been pretty slow lately.
Evidently he had quite a few internal issues unknown to us.
Rest in peace my friend

So sorry Jol! I’ve lost many dogs over the decades and it has never gotten easier.

I'm sorry Joel! Over the last 5 or 6 years we've lost 3 of our dogs. They're a part of the family!

flip side for me and my wife, the last 10 years I have lost both my parents and my brother, one aunt. My wife lost an uncle, an aunt and here grandmother. during this time we have only lost 2 dogs.

every other weekend, I only work 3 days this week (monday, thur, friday) then next week I work tues, wend, sat sun, 12 hour shift, double pay on sunday.

I can not complain, i drive 51 miles one way to work. would rather have my hours in big clumps. I work for a south Korean company. they take good care of me
