The Snail Only isn't bad. I'd look between the 37 Gallon Cube and 50 Gallon crew for your tank. Add 1 or 2 of the Assorted Smaller Conches

What do you guys think is the best critter for cleaning the sand but that won't make a big mess?

I usually shop at my LFS or Petco for my CUC now. There's 3 LFS somewhat nearby me with decent enough prices and Petco has more.

I buy most of mine local as well but none of the places I go have dwarf ceriths and I only found Pithos once, and they didn't even know they had them. When I asked about more, they had to look up what they looked like. Also conchs are pretty hit or miss.

I do have one conch I got from Petco I'm not sure what kind it is though my LFS can order me things I am for most the time so maybe I can go that route as well. Its normally more expensive than reef cleaners though because they sell them individually and not in bulk.

Petco and Kona Surprise both frequently have conches. With the Sand Sifter I haven't replaced my Conches so I currently have 0.

well tank is ordered...be about a month..three 1.5 over flow tubes for the overflow box.
Going to build a stand .
Thinking about having two holes in the top wood of stand so I can put 2 mp40s on the bottom panel of the tank to push water up like a bottom panel closed loop...(nope not doing closed loop, nightmare just wating to happen drain the whole tank)
Anyone ever do this with any mp's ..

That's not a bad idea at all! The only concern I'd see with this would be a weak point in the stand potentially but I'm guessing with the size tank you're getting the stand will be over engineered to the point it's not going to hurt anything.

I did similar with my old 125 and ran PVC from the return under the sand and rock and then poked some RFGs up randomly under a few of the rock islands in the tank.

With all that coralline it's hard to tell but I'm guessing it's a Strawberry or Tiger. Not quite enough "Gladiator Helmet" to the front for it to be a Fighting.

if you place a reef cleaners order again, I'd get some pitho crabs. I plan to get an order again but need to wait till temps go up again. this coming weekend wind chills are supposed to be -20. I want to get a few blue porcelains.

This one is always on top of the sand I have never seen it coming out of the sand or going into the sand.

+1 Strawberry or Tiger, not fighting. First guess would be Tiger.
