Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
if you place a reef cleaners order again, I'd get some pitho crabs. I plan to get an order again but need to wait till temps go up again. this coming weekend wind chills are supposed to be -20. I want to get a few blue porcelains.
I'm fighting with myself over another ReefCleaners order. I want two more Pithos and 80-100 dwarf cerith, maybe a few bumblebees but the shipping is killer.

I hate paying shipping for anything. Lol

What do you guys think is the best critter for cleaning the sand but that won't make a big mess?
Conch and nassarius. Nassarius are beasts too. When they come stirring up out of your sandbed, you'll be surprised how much sand a good crew of them can displace. And they eat leftover food better than any goofy hermit will.

I do have some of both those snails already but have no idea how many are still in there. I could order more tidy because I haven't added any cleanup crew in a very long time.
If you still have nassarius, you should see them come out when you feed. They wont stay buried indefinitely.

yeah, you should see if anyone near you want to split ship cost and do a really big order. I think Kev will be thinking about ordering stuff soon.

Yes I see them when I feed but I don't know how many there are of them. Lol

did they get rid of the free ship over $75? It's slow boat so I wouldn't do that in freezing temps. it takes like 5 days.
I'm not sure if they have i haven't placed an order in a long time.

Well time to relax before I go back to work after this 4 day weekend . I work on all 7 of my tanks today and tomorrow I'm getting another :) I guess I'm breeding Bristlenose Pleco's now lol Hope everyone has a great week and Goodnight

I love Bristlenose Plecos!

do you know if hermit crabs eat bumblebees?
Hermits eat anything that is weak or that has an interesting shell. The good news for Bumblebees is that their shells don't seem to be hermit abode favs.

But if you're a Cerith:

That's not a bad idea at all! The only concern I'd see with this would be a weak point in the stand potentially but I'm guessing with the size tank you're getting the stand will be over engineered to the point it's not going to hurt anything.
stand top will be solid 1 inch sanded plywood. The odea is two round holes 1/4 inch wider in diameter then the unit each hole will be 3 1/4...and be in the center of tank at 18 inches (36 tank depth) and maybe at the 2.5 feet in from the ends...always can put a extra support on each side of the hole...

I over build everything...lol...
