Anyone use Coppersafe in quarantine? Or chloroquine Phosphate? Thinking of adding one to quarantine tank. But not sure which is safest for the current fish.

A small naso tang, royal gramma, file fish, Bi-color dwarf angel. And 3 mollies.

Any personal experience welcome.
I haven't used a copper treatment in years but here is link to a thread at Humblefish that you may find useful:

Man, I couldn't have you "see yourself out" alone. You know, I'd be right behind you!
Right on man. That's a lot of fun leaving the room at once. Lol

The tank is still in kill-the-Aiptasia mode and most of the corals are in the 40B waiting for the Peppermints to do their job in the display. I am finally seeing some regression of the Aiptasia and we ae still harvesting a hundred or so a week to feed the Berghia.

I tried to add another fish Saturday but it either hated my water or rammed itself into the side panel evading some spook or other. Anyway, a beautiful young Orange Back Wrasse is no more. From where we found it, I suspect it rammed into the side panel and killed itself during the night. The last time we added a fish, we left a light on in the room to add a little light to the tank during lights out. The Meridians moonlight is way to bright to use. Anyway, we didn't do it Saturday night and found the new fish dead near the side panel.

I do like the Meridians very much. I think once they release the shallow reef retrofit I'll convert the 11" Meridian I have over the frag tank to see what I think of it. I probably would have gone with the shallow reef if it had been out when I bought them but truthfully, with the 14K edges, I'm very pleased and more importantly the corals seem to like them.

How is your tank doing and how do you like those Orcas? I think they are the most promising new aquarium release in years. I've always like Tunze's NanoStreams, couple to a smart Sea Swirl alike, awesome idea.
I really like the Orcas! You can set them up in zones, so you have higher flow where you need it and lower flow so you aren't blasting the flesh off stuff.

I have read until I am blue in the face. And yet I still read this. 😂

And even read about the use of black mollies. Maybe I will watch them and do nothing unless they show signs of anything.

Mainly concerned with which would be the best option with these particular fish. Really trying not to kill them. And the tang and angel rush off into a gray PVC pipe when I approach. So no watching them

I personally do not prophylactically treat fish but I think I would for one of the Ich Magnet fish (Powder Blue, Powder Brown, Achilles Tangs) and probably for Hippos as well.

I think I agree mostly with you. Until I start stressing. I am prone to self induced stress.

But with the mollies in the tank willing to wait and monitor the two black ones. Today is their 4 th day in the tank.

And I do have chloroquine phosphate on hand.

On a good note, George, the injured anemone appears to be doing better today.

Thanks

Hi Dawn! I'm Diana
Hi Diane, very nice to meet you. It's so funny, I've seen your username around and didn't imagine that you were a girl. The same with Amanda, I didn't know how many ladies are on R2R. It's cool.😎

We hide well.
Hi code4:, I saw that you were 5'4" and your husband is 6'1" so being a smart gal myself I figured out that you are another lady reef keeper! 🤔 Do you only go by code4: or do you go by another name around here?
