I run my house at 75°-78° most of the time but precool overnight to 73° so our peak electric times uses little to no AC.

Dang yall like it hot. My ac never goes above 70

I have a neighbor that years ago ran the house AC so cold the unit actually froze. had ice all over it. everyone was instructed if that happens to just run the fan only to thaw it out. I've had mine dow to 64. but not sure where they had theirs back then. I keep the house at 70 now. 2 complain it's too cold and 2 complain its still not cold enough. but aquarium needs no chiller so its a plus.

Mine freezes every year or two if I don't keep the condenser coils clean. That's actually what seems to be happening with my buddy's that I went over to look at this morning.

My Envoy AC freezes every day during the summer.

Hello! sorry to be slow to pop over - trying to finish my (2nd job) rat house remodel by end of the month -

my tip of the day:
never buy a home unless you smell it first - and if it smells all the way down at the street before you even walk up to the house, then walk away... it is a money pit and not an investment property...

the lily patch! trees are in bloom. the one in the center is about 7 feet. The burgundy border ones haven't bloomed yet. stay tuned. the white ones have about a 10" spread.

It's pretty much exactly what Paul described but on a larger scale. There's a filter pad that you keep water running over, a fan blows through that and into the house. The water cools the air and increases humidity. You condense the moisture on your body which helps cool you down. Basically Mississippi air.

Most houses out here can't get theirs to run below 75°. When it's 120 out we're talking about 45° differential between the outside and inside the house.
