Hi everyone

I'm planning to build a custom RO system with pump instead of buying a pre-made one, and have stuck with 10" transparent filter housing selection on Amazon.
There are too many housings of different brands, and even those with high ratings have feedbacks that they leak or crack.
Leakage is the last thing I want to happen under the sink in the kitchen.
Please suggest from your experience what filter housing worth buying.

Thanks

Consider operator error when installing them. Often the orings on the housings don't seat right and leaks will occur. I am alway generous with silicone grease to help keep orings in place while screwing in the housing. sediment and carbon filters also may not line up correctly and can keep the housing from screwing in all the way. Housings with air bleed off buttons are prone to getting stuff stuck in them and continue to drip after being released. Personally, I would go with the cheapest.

If they leak or crack then they were over tightened.. you only hand tighten the cartridges and then give a small tug to cinch them.
