Since my last update I have revamped my lighting and changes all my bulbs and added three LED strips my current lighting is this:

- 2x 250 watt XM 15K MH
- ATI Purple Plus
- Geismann Blue Plus
- 3x 4 per 1 watt Blue LED's

I like the color of the tank a lot better with the bulbs changes, it's not as blue as the pictures show.

Everything seems happy and has good growth.

Thanks Ryans!

The color is nice and crisp, a lot of people said that they don't like the XM's, I guess they're lower PAR than a lot of other MH bulbs. But I like it, figured the lower PAR intensity would be better for the LPS and softies lower in the tank.

I don't know how you can stand a tank that deep though. My 36 bowfront was to deep for me.

There are certainly time in which I hate it, but I love the look of taller tanks. When I set it up I really wanted to do a Tek 8 bulb T5 fixture but the height kept me away from T5's as a main light source. How tall was your bowfront?

21" lol. Could not stand it.

A 21" deep tank, isn't deep. Standard 120's are 24" deep... LOL I guess I just enjoy the wet pits.

Imagine how Cheng felt when he owned this tank. Poor guy.

Mike, I'm only like 6'3".

I try to keep all my tanks 16" or less.

To short for mostt fish imo. Like swimming in a tide pool might b good for fish used to that.

Never thought of it that way. the largest fish I have ever owned though is a dwarf gourami in my 40 breeder lol. Unfortunately, I don't have enough room for a big tank.....yet.

I love the deep tank as well. I will never go back to a tank less than 24 deep. Mine is 30 deep. You can really have nice aquascaping with deep tanks. I use to not like deep tanks till i owned

I neglect things at the bottom of my tank and it's 27" tall. I have a feeling that my acans would be twice as large if wasnt such a pain to feed them.

I still need to invest in a nice step ladder to help me reach into the tank.
