i have a 180G tank ( 72x24x24) with triton44 sump. It had been drilled for 2x 3/4” return lines and I’ll be using synergy shadow overflow ( 1 1/2”) drain lines. I have attached a picture on what I want my piping to look like and once I get to under my tank I’m thinking I’ll be using hosing to the sump, OR. should I just stick with PVC all the way? I’m just trying to prevent as many elbows as possible. I’m shooting for the 10x turnover but if I can only get 8-10 that’s fine I’ll make adjustments along the way. I’m just curious which jebao DC pump I will need.

I think the 10x turnover for Triton is really overkill and giving those with large tanks a lot of anxiety. 1800gph through your sump is really cranking.

Many with Triton set ups claim very successful systems with much lower turnover. I'm in the process of setting up a 180 gallon, with Synergy overflow and Triton44 sump. I'm not sure I'm going Triton, but I can if I want as all the parts are there, but don't plan on 10x turnover. I'd be happy with 5x. I'm using the Jebao DCP 10000 but fully expect to not run it at 100%.

I hope to wet test the set up in a couple of weeks.

Yea that’s why I’m shooting for 8-10x I know it’s a lot and I know those with larger systems don’t quite hit the mark and supplement a wave maker in the fuge. I actually decided to just spend the money and get the various-8 return pump.
