Hey all, I’m going to be upgrading from a 20g to a 50g with a 20g sump. My current 20g has no sand, but a lot of softies and a few LPS. Should I be okay to transfer everything in one shot? Second question is should I run 1 heater or 2 in my new set up? 1 300w or 2 150w? Any help is appreciated!!

I personally run two undersized heaters and always have some type of extra controller controlling them.

If the new 50 gallon has temperature and salinity matched saltwater, you should be able to transfer everything over in one shot.

If you’re going to be adding more rock I would cure the new rock first so you can transfer everything in one shot
