2 Yr Old Tank Corals Slowly Dying

Six months ago my tank SPS and LPS were looking sharp, no real issues. At that point I added a powder blue and another tang to the already stocked tank. I use the Apex system and frequently monitor ALK and Calcium, both of which are in normal range. Ive noticed more algae growth on the sand bed which wasn't occurring prior to these to fish entering the tank. I feel like adding these two fish was the tipping point in the tank and added more fish waste to the tank and the Reef Octopus Skimmer can't keep up with the waste removal. During the downfall of the tank, I doubled my gfo my tank uses to see if that would help the corals rebound, that also showed no effect. I just purchased the Vertex 180 in hopes this will remove waste better in my tank. Any advise to help my tank rebound and did I need to purchase a new skimmer? This reef tank care is very frustrating.

Ill take some pictures tomorrow when tank is lit. I had a nice nice hammer coral die, some acans skin pealed back and die, zoas shrink, some died. Lost over 5 nice frags when they did show growth and then slowly regressed.

What lights are you using? How long are they on for? What's your feeding schedule? What fish do you have stocked?

haven't tested po, no, nitrate or ammonia. fish are seeming healthy
dual brs reactor. GFO and Carbon from BRS. Also a bag of GFO in sump

i have the 6 phase RO/DI system and changed out DI and filters apps 6 months ago
Radion X whatever Lights, I forget the name
Reef Octopus Skimmer and return pump and going to be two years old in January
two MP40 power head in tank
water change of 15 gallon religiously every sunday

Im thinking the bio load in my tank is to heavy, it currently has 11 fish which included 5 tangs

still need the No Po and alk
if your stripping the nutrients out of that tank, and starving the corals that will tell ya and us if the bioload is too heavy.
a wc will help with the NO but not the Po.
a fts of the tank will tell us if the flow might be wrong and and not keeping particles in suspension long enough to get to the sump, IE clean sump syndrome.
