Looking for suggestions on an all-in-one. Approx 20 gallons.
Currently run a waterbox 15.
I like the dimensions of the a
Waterbox 20, but I'm not feeling the black silicone on the verticals.
18" max is probably about as wide/deep i want to go.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Give this bad boy a look. Great price, and the company is owned by an enthusiast/LFS owner.

That's pretty solid. I've never used reef casa before. 22" wide is a LITTLE too big for the spot I have...

Anyone have any experience with a lifeguard tank? They seem to have clear silicone on the edges...

I recommend IM 20

So this aquarium isn't actually for me... it's for my father in law... he's very particular (because he's.... set. in his ways)
Anyone know of any peninsulas with clear silicone? Everything else he wants I can find.
Thanks again all :)

I was going to suggest the red sea desktop peninsula but then I saw you said you want clear silicone…

Last time I saw a UNS AIO up close it did indeed have clear silicone. They also have mitered edges which make the seams even less noticeable. They are beautiful tanks

Landen also seems to use clear silicone but I don’t have any personal experience with them

Awesome! Thank you for the input!
I actually reached out to WB to see if they offer their standards with it. Butttt they said it would be custom
Going to try to find some UNS around me to see :)

Glass Cages does clear silicone, but not sure if they do AIOs.
I was looking at that too!
Even standard it was going to be over 1k I think (quick build in their calculator) :grinning-face-with-sweat: although it's not MY budget, that's still pretty high.

Yeah, that's fair. I'm a big fan of the IM tanks too, but black is the only option. They do such a nice job with it I think it looks great, but people like what they like. Maybe look for an acrylic AIO? Or the Coralife biocube has rounded corners.

I was thinking a biocube as a last option haha
:)

My Landen 60P AIO (20g display/6.23g rear chambers) uses black silicone. Great tanks though.

Landen seems to use clear like you say! and UNS seems to the more I see them... I'm still trying to convince him to go waterbox for the gallon.... it's dimensions are basically perfect for where he is putting it.....
Might have to make a separate post to see peoples thoughts on Landen aquariums!

For those following,
I may have convinced him black silicone is best for....
- does not promote yellowing
- prevents algae growth in seams
- prevents coralline in seams

In that case my wife just got a Fiji Cube 10 gallon AIO that she’s just set up as an upgrade for a 3.5 gallon ADA tank that she’s been keeping freshwater shrimp in for about 10 years now, and it was a great deal.
We ordered it from them last week (current sale is still running) and it arrived yesterday, and we’re both pretty impressed with it! It even came with a dc return pump with a little controller and it’s super strong for such a small tank volume. Didn’t come with a protein skimmer, but since she’s using it for freshwater for now that didn’t matter to us. It does have ample room to add a small one

While we were shopping for that tank, we saw that they also sell “diy aio” kits that come with the aio box and other bits that you can drop in a tank and “convert” it into an aio, seems pretty cool and might be a potential option if all else fails
