I'm going to cover the one side of the tank with towels. I don't want him to freak in this big ole tank with a 72" TV and surround sound close by. Him and I can be nervous together.

When you said South Bay, it just dawned on me, are you in the SF bay area? I'm up in Berkeley. Are you heading to Neptune? Any plans on what fish you're after? Lionfish and scorps I hope! I don't know if you've had much experience with Aquatic Collection up in Hayward, but they had been getting in quite a few healthy lionfish. That's where I got my Fu Manchu that they already had eating frozen silversides and my antennata.

Btw, that quarantine system is just amazing!

He's in......it's done. He handled it like a boss.

I think he's going to love it! He's been in 24g grow out tank in an empty room for over a year. I only turned on the light during feeding, other than that he just had natural light. He's using all the overhangs just like we designed them. YAY!

I just read through this thread and saw you were tentative about the oceans motion. I don't have personal experience with it but I know people who like the sea swirl.

Thanks for the suggestion. The reason why we haven't gone with something like that, is we're trying to keep the tank clear of pumps and such.

Shhhhhhh..... he's sleeping.

One thing I love about this tank is the water line is so far above my head. Makes me feel like I'm under water.

I haven't turned the lights on yet, I want him settle in for awhile longer.
