This has been one sucky year. I was just maintaining the tanks, not enjoying. Now I'm back into the swing of things. Gotta put bad times behind you.

I feel ya there. between switching jobs and moving and having a kid and the older kid I didn't even have a tank for a few months. I just sold my 29 gallon full setup (for next to freakin nothing) and currently am working on my 1 gallon reef bowl.

Has anyone on here dealt with an Oceans Motions 4-way?

Yep. When I first set up my 210 it was a closed loop with oceans motion. Unfortunately, withing 6 months we tore out the closed loop and the oceans motion as we could not get it to stop jamming. Tiniest of sand particles would get into it and just jam or cause horrible noises. We even replaced the drum once in that time. Unless they redesign, it sucks if you have sand that can get in at all. My hubby was fixing it every few days.

No help on the OM, but stumbled on the thread. Absolutely beautiful set up as I'm a sucker for peninsulas. Signing up to watch this one mature.

Ugg..... that's not what I wanted to hear. I'm experiencing the rotating drum "thump". This is such an awesome concept and nothing else replaces it, but alas it is flawed. I'm wondering if it will act as a simple manifold, if I took the rotating drum out and turned it off.

What an amazing build!

Thanks!

Thanks. You may be watching it fly out the window, if I cannot figure out a somewhat simple solution to my bad Oceans Motions decision.

I was really looking forward to it too. Hated that we could not get that thump out. I did not try the removal of the drum as it would not help with the flow I wanted.
