I wanted to introduce myself and my story of becoming the owner of a reef tank overnight. About a year ago, my neighbor purchased a complete 220g reef tank setup from an LFS. I remember seeing it delivered to his house and WISHING it was me, even my wife was impressed with the tank! About 8 months later, he messaged me and asked if I was interested in purchasing it from him. I was reluctant at first since I was not in the market for a tank, let alone a 220g reef! However, I made an offer, he accepted, and I was the owner of an instantly established reef tank over night! This was about 6 weeks ago.

Setup is as follows:

1) 220g Marineland reef ready tank with matching Java stand
2) Three Ecotech Radion XR30w G4 lights running Coral lab AB+ spectrum for mixed reef
3) Eshopps RS-300 sump
4) Reef Octopus Regal 200SSS Skimmer
5) Sicce Syncra 9.0 return pump
6) Two Maxspect XF350 Gyres
7) BRS media reactor running Rox 0.8
8) Spectrapure 5 stage RO/DI
9) AutoAqua ATO
10) 110 lbs live Carribsea rock and added 50 lbs dry rock
11) 120 lbs Carribsea Pink live sand

The tank came with assorted LPS and soft coral along with one anemone, one Sailfin Tang, and a Coral banded shrimp. I've only added one fish so far, a juvenile Black Oscellaris clown. Looking to make my next additions (fish) soon, open to suggestions.

The tank was being maintained with IO salt and Fusion 2 part. Reef Roids for the Coral. I am transitioning to Red Sea Coral Pro salt and will probably begin dosing Kalkwasser if needed through my ATO. Tank parameters are currently:

Salinity 34ppt
pH 8.2
KH 10
Cal 440
Mg 1350
Phosphate 0.03
Nitrate 0

Could use some help in identifying all the Coral. If you believe its not what I labeled, please let me know what you think it is. And sorry for the bad cellphone shots, I will try and take some decent DSLR shot's and update this thread.

Thank you all for an awesome forum, really has helped me get back into reefing and the current state of the hobby.

The Kenya tree looks like it's a gorge (not that good with softies maybe someone else can chime in)
The two unknown lps look like types of favia (there's many in the family) generally refered to as war coral.
The acan Lord may be an acan it's hard to tell from the pic but looks like it maybe a blasto wellsi from the pic.
Nice haul over all love the variety!

Thank you for helping me potentially identify my unknown Coral's.

On one of the unknowns, there is an additional unknown growth, and I'm not sure if it's a pest organism, a seperate "good" coral or part of the original coral just growing off to the side. Although color doesn't match, so I believe it's separate.

A little update on the build. Since I last posted, I added dry rock as base to build up the scape, so it looks a little more full than before but still has ample space on all sides for fish to swim.

Speaking of fish, as you can see, there are NONE now in the tank. I had a Sailfin and two clowns in the DT and then added 3 Lyretail Anthias. Long story short, the Lyretails brought brook into the tank and took all my fish except the Sailfin. I did not have a QT setup at the time, so learned a tough lesson and paid the price . Now the Sailfin is hanging in there in QT and being treated.

I have the opportunity to let the DT go fallow for 76 days so I will stay fish less for that time period. I will also take the opportunity to introduce 2 other Zebrasoma's that I've been wanting along side my Sailfin, a Yellow and a Purple Tang.

I have started migrating over to Red Sea Coral Pro salt at 34ppt and dosing the Reef Energy plus in hopes of accelerated coral growth.

All the coral seem to be doing well, although the Zoa's don't seem to be happy. The water quality is pretty good as I perform a 10% WC every week and the nutrients are very low if non existent. Is that part of the problem? I've heard Zoa's like "dirty" water? Maybe the Reef Energy Plus will help them.

Quick update on the tank. Since I posted last, ALL of my fish were wiped away with Velvet or Brook. After a nearly 3 month fallow period, I went through QT with a Yellow Tang that is doing very well in the tank.
