Just putting together a stocking list for my 230 gallon mixed reef and interested in input.

I am moving across from a Reefer 350 and the current stock is

2x clown
1x damsel
1x sailfin tang
1x yellow tang
1x yellow belly blue tang
1x blotchy anthias
1x dotty back

I am looking at adding the following to the 230 gallon

1x Tahitian White tail bristletooth
1x purple tang
1x Sohal tang
1x flame angel
6x Bartlets anthias
4-5 Fairy wrasse
1x Harlequin Tuskfish
Possibly a pair of Crosshatch triggerfish

I am looking for a fairly simple hardy bunch of fish that will be utilitarian within the tank but still look nice. Tang gang for algae control, harlequin for nasties control, Bartley’s for colour but not a food demanding as normal anthias.

Any comments or thoughts?

Careful with wrasse's; H-Tusk are nice, but are wrasse's also...I noticed no angels, one with a mild temperament may be nice for appearance.

1x flame angel is there also, mainly reef safe I believe. I have a well fitted jump guard in preparation for jumping wrasse

Tusks can be aggressive to other wrasses. Consider small Halichoeres wrasse species instead for pest control.

Some really nice fishes in that list.

That is a lot of tangs, and the sohal can reportedly become hyper-aggressive. What are the dimensions of the tank?
