LOL I was just thinking to update thread after a long time since I have GHA issues :)
Few months after initial setup I had really bad dino, cyano, GHA outbreaks which I handled with UV, chaeto and balancing nutrients. When tank was finally clean I started adding acros, growth and coloration were really good.
4 months ago small cyano outbreak happend followed by major GHA outbreak and since then I'm battling GHA without any luck so far. I'm tired of manual removal and starting to think about putting some chemical fix but dont want to damage my acros.

After a couple of months of battle with GHA I decided to try Brightwell microbacter clean and razor marine and it did awesom job. 80% of algae is gone, no more brushing I can just easily vacuum it while changing water. As can be seen from the video everything was covered with GHA and this is how it looks after 2 weeks treatment. I have ordered new batch for maintenance dosing.

were you doing any carbon dosing, running gfo/carbon? I'm in the same situation you were but it started when I added gravel to my tank which had been BB for 1.5 yrs. I also have nice acros I'm not thrilled about exposing to the Razor/Clean treatment. Wondering if I should stop carbon dosing and gfo during treatmnt.

No carbon dosing or gfo, I have to dose nitrates and phosphates to keep them above 0 all the time or acros were starting to look very pale. I removed sand because it was all covered with cyano and GHA. Finally I can enjoy my tank again althoug there is still some gha on the rocks.

That's exactly where I'm at now. I added the sand and it looked great for a month or two then a bit of diatoms followed by a bit of green algaes then a lush carpeted lawn of green with spots of cyano. I guess I'll have to pull the gravel too.
Thanks for your info.

Just be sure not to do mistake I did, when algae started to decline I continued to dose KH2PO4 and NaNO3 as usuall. In just 2 days between measurements PO4 spiked to 0,2 and some acros got beautiful brown color :)
