I already have done a lot of work on the tank but I thought I would make a post here anyways. I received an old 25g fish tank that my brother in law didn't want anymore. I though this would be a good time to do something I have always wanted to do, get a reef tank. So I got started. Here is the fish tank as I first received it.

After the sand had settled it had done its thing.

I let that sit for about 3 weeks for everything to get to know each other and then I bought 2 hermits and 2 snails.

I did lots of reading and with the help of some other people decided that I needed more rock. So I placed an order with Bulk Reef Supply for 15more Lbs of rock to add to my tank. I got that In and cleaned it with a scrub brush and boiling water the best I could. I let it set in salt water for a few days and then added them to the tank. I checked the water parameters for about 4 days. Everything seemed stable so I went ahead and got a clown! (I also dumped in a bottle of bio-spria just in case the night before I got him and continue to check daily to make sure everything stays in check)

Side note of this post, Is the white stuff in the last picture a type of sponge?
