Added a new refugium this week. It’s the large Fijicube HOB refugium. It was the only one I could find that would fit my particular setup (needed to be wide enough between the intake and return for my skimmer to fit between them, but no so wide that the intake tube would be in the return chamber). Anyway, it fits perfectly, as of now I’ve just got a marine pure cube, some chaeto, a little bit of Xenia, some caulerpa brachypus, and some purigen. I’m lighting it with an AI Prime until I decide what light I want to run on it. Because the AI Prime sits kind of high, I’ve put a piece of foam to block out the light from bleeding into the DT (since I’m running it opposite of the DT). So far it’s running better than I expected, hopefully it will help with nutrient export.

Haven’t updated in a while. I was in and out of town all month and had some Alk/nutrient swings and lost all of my Acans, Euphyllia, a birdsnest (the other two are fine) and most of my Hollywood stunner chalice (one little corner is hanging on). Weirdly, my blastos have never looked better and all of my other LPS are fine, all of my soft corals look great. Last week I added a green clown goby, didn’t see it after adding it, and then several days later found it in my HOB refugium, no idea how it could’ve gotten in there, but at least it’s alive. Now I have to pull everything out to catch it. Should be tons of fun.

Nice build. A few of your corals from “local Reefers” look familiar. ;) Sorry to hear about the ALK issues. I was on vacation for about 3 weeks and was worried I’d lose a lot. In the end I lost a few but nothing bad. Happens unfortunately. Let me know if you want to pick up more frags or trade sometime.

Haven’t updated in a while. Tank is doing great, still holding off on fully replacing all my LPS (I have a few test LPS, some Duncans and an Alveopora, just to make sure everything is back to normal before fully restocking), all my soft corals and anemones are growing super fast. Also added a Valentini puffer a couple months ago, so far it’s been a model citizen, only thing it’s gone after are my feather dusters and some tube worms. Here’s some recent photos:

Haven’t updated in a while (I feel like I start every post on this thread the same). After the alk/magnet incident several months ago, I’ve been reluctant to add any new corals, I added a Duncan a couple months ago that’s done well and I haven’t lost any other corals since, everything is doing well So I decided it was time to add some new stuff.

I got some gorgonians from a local reefer that I traded some Xenia for, the person I traded with was very generous, one of them looked a little rough, but the rest are doing great. And then I bought a couple candy canes and a little birdsnest from a different local reefer. One of the candy canes is a little bleached (might actually be light starved, as his lighting wasn’t that intense), but I’m confident it will bounce back (plus it was only $10).

Just wanted to give an update to show off this awesome long polyped toadstool/sarcophyton that I got for $25 from a local reefer today (plus a couple Monti frags). It’s freshly cut, but already looking pretty happy:
