This is going to be my page for my 29 tall that just got transferred over from my 10g. I have most of the information in a different thread, but I will recap here.
Original plan was for a 75g. So I started a 10g to keep me busy. Life happens and the 75 fell through.
Almost 1 year later I transferred everything from the 10g over to the 29 that I have now, plus some more rock that I have curred.
The 29 has 2 hob filters on it with only the blue/white filter floss in them. I also have 2 small aqueon/fluval circulation pumps for more movement. There is an Orbit Marine IC Loop Led, with a 2 bulb T5ho for lighting. The LED's come on (sunrise) around 10:30 for 75 min, then ramp up for 15 min to full until 8:30pm, then ramp down (sunset) for the next 75 min. The T5's come on at 1:00pm & shut off at 8:00pm.
Last weekend, I got 6 different zoa's (utter chaos, fruit loops, vamps in drag, rastas, candy apple reds & BBEB's) and a nice sized branching hammer from Simply Saltwater Aquatics, and I couldn't be more happy !
Currently, the hammer is doing absolutely wonderful, and there are 8 tiny sprouts starting from the sides of the 3 heads. All of the heads are splitting too. The zoa's, are doing pretty good, but not all of them have completely opened yet. The only other inhabitants at this time are amphipods, tiger & tisbe pods.
I am currently working on lowering phosphates and nitrates by doing water changes every other day and have a deep blue phosphate pad & some phosguard on the way . I will post current levels & pics at the end of this post.
After I get the parameters stabilized and going good, plans are to add a few more zoa's, some gsp on an isolated rock, a torch coral, a couple rock flower anemones, and some coral for the sand bed. Also, I plan to add a firefish, a Goby/shrimp pair, a sapphire damsel, tail spot blenny & a designer clown. All in time though.

Current parameters are:
Sg. 1.026
Ammonia 0
No3 .025
pH 7.0-8.0
PO4 .5
Cal 490
Alk 8.0
Mg 1560

Looking good.

Quick question.. Did you get your NO3 and PO4 parameters mixed up? I hope so ;Shamefullyembarrased

Your parameters are actually fine as is if that is the case, and you can certainly go higher on your NO3 for your current tank inhabitants. LPS and softies like zoanthids love dirty water. I personally would shoot for 2-5 ppm NO3 while keeping PO4 between .02 and .05.

Good catch !! The NO3 should be 25 (not .025) but the PO4 is correct... unfortunately [emoji20]

Oh man, I'd do some petty heavy WCs and get those numbers down a bit. Especially the P04.

For LPS and sofies, try to get them below 0.1. Ideally it would be lower than that. Your nitrates Will probably be in a good range too once you get PO4 down with the WCs.

Yeah, but I don't have any of the nasty stuff that was on that rock before I cooked it all down [emoji16]. I have been doing 5 - 8 gallon water changes every other day since last Monday. My PO4 was at 1.0 & NO3 at .5 [emoji50]
