So I got this tank and stand from brothers ex before they broke up cause she was done with saltwater. Little story... Before she bought it I was actually gonna buy it but decided against it. So since she let all the fish and coral die off I cleaned it out, painted the back black. Took her rock and then took the remaining rock I had out of another tank, bought new live, filled with water (still need 5g more, don't have enough containers). I'm using a HOB Aqua clear 50, have a hydor nano 240 and 425 and a hydor koralia 750. The lights are 2 screw reef led bulbs (don't remember the brand). I'm going to be transferring everything from my bio cube into this. I have 2 clowns; black and orange, 1chromis, 1 yellow clown Goby, 1 cleaner shrimp. I have a bunch of zoas that are coming over also.

I want to eventually change out the HOB out for a sump since I have a couple 10g sitting around. Also want to paint the pvc pipe.

So I came home and tested everything and parameters were pretty close to my other tank I decided to transfer over my fish. So they are all in there. I'm going to do a water change and then test again and then put the corals and shrimp and remaining crabs and snails.

Got bored and went to the LFS to see what they got and to shoot the stuff about my algae and coral issue. I ended up getting a twin spotted goby and got a frag of zoas and a shroom. I have been contemplating a mini sump if I can find a return pump for a decent price and a nano overflow I like.

After looking at the shroom... it looks more like a ric. When ever the new Goby comes out will try to get a couple pics.

Ugh..... so I went to see if my 10g tank would fit under my tank in the stand and it won't. it's about 1/4 inch to big. So now I have to think what to do now. If the 10g was 18 inches long it would work. Sorry back to the drawing board.

So I'm still thinking how to put a sump under it and have a couple ideas. I went and got some nassarius snails tonight and came home and the Goby was actually out. Was able to snap a couple pics. I'm also possibly getting another tank so I'm prolly going to do a frag tank since it's only ly 53x12x12.

When he moves he hovers over the sand. It's really cool.

Well I was doing a water change and say Goby in the back. Came back later and he was sucked up to my power head. So dunno what happened. Going to do more testing tomorrow and see what everything is at. Also need to get my coral iny tank. Tested the hydrogen peroxide and it sorta work so I may have a way to clean it up before the transfer.

Following this , I love seeing 29 gallons since that is what I have setup.

I built my own stand and made so a 15 gallon long fit in the cabinet. I'm using an eshopps pf300 overflow and a mag 5 return pump. The overflow was quite noisy so I built a hofer gurgle buster for it. Now the only noise is the water falling into the box inside the tank, not sure how I can silence that yet.

Nice setup!!

Cleaned up some of my corals from my other tank and dropped them in. Have like 5 more zoa frags and some gsp and some clove polyps that need to be cleaned. I'm suppose to get my frag tank this weekend and need to get them moved into a temp tank.

So was playing around with the tank and noticed that my Korilia 750 was running backwards as in sucking the water in. Was weird dunno what happned or how long it was going for. Had to play around with it and it eventually went the other way. Was weird.

Well Reef Revolutions opened today and had to come by and check out what they had. Ended up leaving with 2 zoa frags and then the gf had to get a richordea herself. They have some high end stuff for great prices. Can't wait to get more. I also tore down my cube and took out the remaining corals I had which are some hardy palys. I setup a qt tank of sorts (Just a 10g with a HOB and a heater) and put them in it till I get my new tank tomorrow. I'm getting a tank that I'm turning into a frag tank. Have to organize some stuff and get some stuff before I can set up.

You may be interested in this. Primoreefacrylics.com has gooseneck fixtures for the kind of led par 38 bulbs you're using and for a good price. You might want to check it out!

Saw them they are cool. On an extremely limited budget so the pvc will do since it was free lol. Appreciate the call out.
