I'm planning on getting an Ai hydra. I currently have 3 65 watt power compacts with individual reflectors and they get hot.

I was looking at the rapidled dimmable onyx but didn't want to buy a controller also.

Ice also considered the evergrow it2040 from reef radiance, but I really like the look of the hydras light on the videos I've seen.

In my 29 gallon I have a pair of snowflake ocellaris clowns, a royal gramma, a yellow watchman goby, and a yellowtail damsel. But I have a total system volume of 50 gallons with my sump and connected frag tank. I also have the reef octopus nwb 110 which is rated for more than my system.

Before I had a sump I was told 4 appropriately sized fish is about max for a 29.

What kind of leds did you get? I went with a Diy a fellow reefer from this forum (c_healy) made for me. I love it so far. I got a great deal on a reefkeeper light locally and then had the custom led built. I'll be building a new canopy to mount it in soon.

Tanks looking good!

also my chalice bleached I'm assuming my light is too strong for it, I moved it completely under a shelf until it recovers color and tissue in the damaged area. :(
