2nd hand tank: can I store it dry?

Hi everyone

I just purchased a used RSM nano (tank less than 1 year old). I'm leaving on a holiday in two weeks, so I want to wait to get the system up and running until I get back.

Is it harmful for the tank (silicone) to store the tank "dry"? Any other precautions I can take?

It will be just fine. My 180 built in 1996 sat for a few years dry. What do you think all the tanks in the store that are dry do?

No worry's Niels . Store it as long as ya want. wouldn't hurt to cover it with a plastic garbage bag or such depending on size . just to to keep dust & all from getting in there .

I have the same tank - now stored dry for half a year. Once I had a tank stored dry for 10 years - nema problem with the silicone
