2nd tank add-on

Well I guess my 400 gallon isn't enough so I'm gonna be adding a 130 gallon cylinder walk around tank plumbed to the same sump with center overflow box
Probably going to build a pillar of Marco rock
Not really sure what kind of fish to put in there yet
Any ideas?

Measurements are 40 inch diameter with 27 inch height

Going to start with a low wall that shoots off of the main wall and it will teardrop where the aquarium will sit on and then build a canopy coming off the ceiling
that's phase one
Since I'm using my existing sump that does my other tank the only major purchases will be the lighting and whatever goes inside it

Personally even though that tank is around 150 gallons, being a cylinder, for me, makes it tricky on the actual size of the fish you can have in there. I would guess you need to stick to tomini tang sized fish.

And a lot goes in to the aquascape.

If you're doing sand there are some beautiful sand sleeping wrasse you could add.

My other tank the 400 gallon has a center overflow and I've spent a lot of time building rock stuff so I know I'll be good at that design

I just upgraded my 110g predator reef, so I have experience with fish around the size you're thinking.
The issue I feel like you're going to run into is swimming length, so triggers should be considered with caution. I have a 6 year old Niger trigger that I just moved into a 6' 180g display, where he is MUCH happier than he was with the 4' tank. They like having room to really get up to speed.
Bluethroat triggers stay much smaller than many other triggers and have great personality!

Halichoerus wrasse are great additions for color, personality, and being utilitarian. My personal favorites include the halichoeres iridis (radiant), halichoeres timorensis (Timor), halichoeres marginatus (dusky). These mentioned are reef safe.
I have also kept more aggressivewrasse, such as the red coris wrasse, who is a stunning and extremely active fish. @Slocke can surely add to the wrasse list.

I feel like you could get a lot of color and movement with some butterflies, dwarf angels, or anthias. :)
I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this.

Wrasses have energy so a longer tank is better. If you like a fun fish that has a ton of personality then consider a dragon. Not the most colorful but very interactive. You could also consider a smaller species of hogfish or Tuskfish as they are less energetic then other wrasses.
