Also i got that naughty crab in sump jail as 3 times caught it trying to kill the smaller 2 inch conch and conch was hiding under sand very often and not doing its job and hermit digging it up and caught it once trying to dig a nasarius snail up when found snails breather tube sticking up from sand and snail going deeper and deeper then dissapeared under sand and apoeared above sand 5 inches away then zoomed off but now im feeling sorry for the naughty hermit as he on his own in sump and its bare glass bottom with couple rocks in skimmer section and few rocks in return pump section but no light at all and even made him some little steps out of eggcrate so he can get over the glass in one section to the other and he struggling to walk on the glass and often see him upside down struggling to right himself so thinking to put some larger pieces of crushed coral or sand in there but then skimmer be sat on it and just be harder to clean sump as slower flow than dt so detritus gets in sand etc.

Edit: added pics of steps made out eggcrate and weighted down with sones with elastic band at ends ha ha and eggcrate so can climb up rocks then rggracte for last bit but he just stays in skimmer section, maybe return pump he doesnt like so not sure what to do over 1 little hermit crab lol.
As my soft side saying buy light for sump and put sand down and maybe even start growing some macro algae and have some kind refugium with sand and stuff for him lol.
But would need take skimmer out sumo and hamg it on side like how it can be when system designed as bought it all ready to go with all equipment ( stock)
Even think i should put few hermits down with him but he nauggty so could try kill them which cant blame him as thats how they act in wild.as got to kill there meals most of time or if opportunity presents itself ^_^

We all get ugly phases, for me it was month 1 - 6 and now after one year. The moment you stop doing your part. The ugly wins and kills everything.

I know you had a tough moment. You don't need another now.

It'll calm down, not the crabs though. Hopefully you'll be able to relax. Enjoy family and tank time.

Well another video of critters at night ha ha.others post cool corals and mine pods/ worms ha ha.but anyhow i got lots spirimod worms but dont see as problem, its just extra food for wrasse and cbb.
Algae on rocks starting to look more ugly than i want ( im quite relax about algaes as doesnt bother me that much) but finally after 2 months of saying i need more cuc,ive committed to go lfs tommorrow and get more trouchus and nassarious snails.possibly few more hermits ( maybe blue legged) want get last fish foxface in for algae control and cool looking fish and also probably been over a fortnight i not heard of seen pistol shrimp so going get another pistol and place it in entrance where my ywg on his own now and hope all goes well ,( cant catch ywg to place in container with pistol to try make them pair on theor own without pulling 2 massive rock structures out) so will just add pistol and hope for best.
Also want buy another torch but few times i went to a newly opened lfs they had the cheap green ones at £ 45 then really nice coloured ones but £ 150- £350 which not willing to pay but main reason for visit is algae control so cuc and algae eating fish, so if get anything else its a bonus.
Ummm need another coral feeder as sat and broke last one when saving my conch from rogue hermit lol and could do with a reef safe grabber as last one the spring rusted.
Still need calcium and mag test kits so still some items needed to help me on my way but slowly slowly catch the monkey ^_^

The skunk could have reproduced. They release their young at night. Yes, the fish will eat them.

Caring for larvae is really expensive and a lot of needed time invested. My longest time frame for keeping larva alive was 5 days

Well in my haste trying dip 3 corals and start 2 drip acliminastion on pistol shrimp and snails i didnt visual inspect corals as much as i should of done as knew after got them in tank i had to fo father in laws and try rectify his newly set up tank ( he put tap water in tank and didnt have all sponges/ media for a big fluval canister filter but had 2 powerheads so said add sand/ add water then add power heads and get internals for filter asap but MAKE SURE ADD POWER HEADS IF ADD WATER AS SONT WANT STAGNANT WATER maybe told him 10 times in last month need flow and not stagnent water so he says my tank not clearing up it still cloudy,i say yeah will be for few days as used sand, then found out didnt add power heads lol) so promised him will go lfs with him to get what he needs and go mine put my stuff in tank then go his house, well noticed something red and thought possibly sponge but NEED VISUAL CHECK ,well dipped all corals and forgot to check as rushing and just now noticed at nearly midnight the red thing is big vermitted snail i believe, just charging phone a little so can use light on phone and will remive the zoa frag and verify is vermitted and remove with thin nose pliers and check other zoa frag also while im there.
@Mibu i got 5 trouchous snails and 4 of them covered in dark red/ burgandy stringy algae of some kind, pictures probably not good enough and will try get more once phone charges but do you know if bryopsis only green colouration? And not sure if can see on one these pics there green flat to snails shell stringy shiny algae? Any idea or pic not good enough.i really need try see if can get some this hydrogen peroxide to paint snail shells with it before adding to tank as can see me having big problem one these days pffft

That could be several species if macro algae. Nothing bad. As it does not appear to be red turf algae. That is one difficult to remove.
That bottom pic looks like vemintid worm.

Yeah crushed the vermitted ,i remember now why i think i missed it as seen the red hard i prezume coraline algae as was hard to scrape and as the vermitted same colour it blended in as you can see in last 2 pics.
Will have to get picture of this red/ burgandy strand like algae and bright green algae on snails tommorow as they playing hide and seek with me and winning lol.
Scraped alot the red coraline algae of the zoa frag just incase some of it was another vermitted i couldnt see and checked the other unnamed zoa frag and completely clean, now need buy some more epoxy as forgot get some earlier and urchin already put the 10 head zoa frag on his back lol

If you mean the red algae in middle of zoa frag then no didnt look like that, was nearly flat against the frag plug and used metal tweezers to scrape off and was very hard to scrape iff but i ended up scraping it all off with tweezers and end of thin nose pliers anyway
