Just a quick update on the tank. Everything is doing great so far. I got a couple of Acan Lords. They look awesome under the blue LEDs.

Sure. I have the Reef Glass skimmer, which has worked much better than I imagined. I have never been a fan of air pump driven skimmers, but this one has turned my opinions around. As far as rocks go, I have plenty of real estate left, but I have been super lazy and have not glued any corals to their final locations. I am leaving them on the sand bed until I get all the corals I am looking for and then arrange everything the way they will stay and grow.

Did I mention that this tank will be Ultra Low Maintenance? ;)

I am taking that part very seriously. ;Happy

I'll take some pictures of the skimmer in action and maybe a video, if I have the time. The only pictures I have so far of the skimmer are the ones on the first page of this thread.

thank you! very interesting as I also have a low opinion of air driven skimmers. How is the skimmate? Pretty cool it pumps directly to a collection container than a cup. I feel like the narrow waste opening could restrike performance some though.

To be honest, the skimmate looks a bit too wet, but that may be part my fault, as I'm still learning to set this one up, but I'm adjusting and tweaking.

I'll try to take a few pics of the Skimmate container before I empty it next time.

I finally got around to taking some pictures of the Skimmate container before emptying. I think the skimmer is settling and performing better.

Hey guys,

Hard to believe it's been 11 months since I started this tank. I am extremely happy with the results so far. I think I am up to 5 water changes since I started and 2 of those were because I made stupid mistakes I made.

I'm happy to report that everything is doing great and I have not lost a single coral. I have swapped a few and I had to get rid of my flame angelfish because it was the cause of the two clams I lost.

I have an overloaded tank with mostly LPS corals.

Here are some pictures. That brown stuff on the sand was a flow issues that I'm working on by moving some rocks around a bit. Hopefully, I'll find that sweet spot soon.

I am considering switching to the triton method for my BC32 as well. What dosing pump do you use, and how did you mount/add it to your system?

I use 3 1.1ml BRS dosing pumps. I have used the Jebao dp4 and the Coral Box WF-4, but I've had problems with both. Finally I decided to go with the tried and true BRS pumps and I will never go back.

I mounted them to the inside of the cabinet and I use the Skims DLC3 TRIPLE DOSING RESERVOIR to store the liquids. I'm sure you already know this, but you can combine the part 3A and 3B into a single container and dose them at the same time, but they have to be twice as strong when it comes to dilution.

What I like about this setup is I can look at the reservoir and see at a glance if all the pumps are dosing the same amount. If I see one of the 3 sections higher than the rest, I know that pump needs to be calibrated or cleaned.

Ping me if you need help with the dilution calculations so you can dose a less strong formula more times a day. The tank likes it better this way and you will have less levels fluctuation.

This is the reservoir:

I appreciate the advice. When I get to that point I will definitely reach out.
