Those top down shots are money! Phenomenal color and growth!! I wish I would have contacted you when I was up there around new years, I would have loved to see your tank with my own eyes!

Could you go thru and explain your husbandry over a month's time. Keep it up! Thanks!

Your reef is amazing and I for one have serious coral envy! Wow that's a lot of lighting! I have wondered if there was such a thing as too much but I guess not :) I was concerned about burning...
Just beautiful!

And I thought I had a lot of fish..... Your tank is awesome. I really like your video's showing the great colors and variety of corals you have. Nice big full colonies too. I hope I can get my 210 to fill back in like your tank looks.

Those colors are awesome bro.

Can you update us on your equipment and supplement dosing? (I saw you took the bio pellet reactor off, so I'm curious about what is running/being dosed)

Also, what is your N03, P04, and Alk? (I'm trying to hit the sweet spot with my tank)

Thanks I got a new cell phone and was testing the tapatalk image posting.

I does Fuel 20ML every other day and 2tsp of oysterfeast. If my trates are undetectable ill do it every day. I run a Carx, Kalk stirrer and use 2 part. I have less than 40 lbs of sand under the rock. Filter sock and skimmer, biopellets in a recirculating reactor and about .5 cup of rox.08 carbon changed every two months or so. I was doing water changes monthly but now twice a month as I started to see some nasty algae monthly. WC is a good way to add nutrients to your system.

NO3 0-1 i FOCUS on 1 or light pink on the Salifert test kit
P04 < .08 I dont use phos remover anymore
Alk 9-10

Those colors are awesome bro.

Sure

Change Filter Socks and empty skimmer multiple times.
Two Water changes 60 Gallons mixture of Reef Crystals and Brightwell Neomarine 50/50
60ML of vinegar per day.
Dose 20ML fuel, 2 tsp oyster feast every day or other day depending on nitrate level > when I run out I am going to quit oyster feast and put mixture of Fuel and vinegar on a dosing pump to automate.
Feed 2 large sheets of Nori for tangs per day
New Spectrum 2 MM pellets 3 X a day with Neptune AFS
Large chunk of PE mysys in the evening per day
Blow off live rock and Sand in places hard to reach with turkey baster when I do Water Changes.
Test Alk, specific gravity and NO3 every other day and make adjustments as needed.
CaRX adjust Effluent based on parameters
Two Part adjust dosing time have it in 6G buckets dose over 100+ml per day
Kalk add 16OZ per week
Wipe led panels and MH bulbs & reflectors once a month.
Clean glass as needed
Soak Vortech Wet Side once every three months or so.
Trim SPS corals weekely to keep them for killing each-other.
.5 cups of Rox .08 carbon in a filter bag every two months or when I notice the tank starting to yellow.

Good info, thanks ^

Do you know the average Alk, Ca, and Mg of your salt mix concoction? (Curious because RC is always so high in Alk)

You dose vodka and pellets?

Local guys must love it when you trim Corals. When do you dose your fuel during the day? Lights out? Lights on?

I have one going on my PC superman. But yes I ended up with a nice collection of frags. I converted the sump from a fuge to a frag system and have an additional 150 stock tank on a separate system that I am filling up with SPS. The frags are growing crazy as pictured:

I read on coral science that corals do most of its growing during the day so would expect this would be the best time to dose the nutrients. So I dose the nutrient solution before lights on about 8:00 AM before work. My theory is that the Biopellets and Skimmer work on stripping the excess nutrients over night.

I'm busy wiping the drool off my keyboard. How long have you been at this (in the hobby?) I'm in awe of your thread everytime I come by. Can you ever take a vacation with a tank like this?!
