Hi guys and girls

Thought i would join the reef2reef all the way from Denmark - EU

I have been dreaming about a reef savvy tank, but to be able to pay to get that build and shipped to Denmark is not for my wallet !
So what to do? I bought allmost 4meters (13.2feet) of 19mm optiwhite glass (low iron), and put Denmark's best reef tank builder take in the project!
Sorry reef savvy. Im poor

First time to see the build myself. He just sealed the buttom when i arrived to take a look.

This is gonna be my dream tank! I am so in love with the 19mm optiwhite glass, all way around!!!

Its gonna be a simple 5 chamber sump like the nuvo40 design. Just large!
Space for bio blocks on a rack, space for possible small refugium if wanted. Just space to keep it clean and simple!

15cm (6") deep sump with 70cm (28") deep display !

I will update this thread for the next couple of months.

Got a welder to do the cabinet, gonna get that wrapped in wood panels like used on this wall on this picture.
Getting that monday.

Cabinet with space for a matching 12mm optiwhite frag tank also to be under the main tank! 60x35x25cm (24X14x10")
I ordered 2 x orphek or3 60cm (24") bars to the frag tank 1x reef day, and 1x blue plus

I got custom switches with light and logos for the electronics to make everything slick with a switch box for everything in the cabinet.

10switches total.

Cabinet light
Reef light
Heater
Doser
Return
Wavemakers
UV light
Tablet
Skimmer

Jeabo 3.1 doser for All-for-reef is in it's way also.

Allready got 2x new jebao slw 20 also.

Tunze 9012 dc skimmer on it's way also

What would you guys do about aquascape? I am Thinking to cycle Marco dry rocks for the tank, just do it slow and proper. How did you start your new custom tank up? Link some aquascape u like please. I would like some input!

At the moment i for a Nuvo 40G innovative marine tank.

Simple setup.

Tunze DC skimmer.

Tunze ATO

This looks really cool. I’m interested in doing a custom AIO at some point myself so I’ll be following along to see your progress. Welcome to R2R.

Hej!
The new project is very promising, I'm following!
Quick question, why is the reefled 160s your worst buy? Will you reuse this light on the new tank?

What height do you plan to mount your OR bars above the frag tank? I saw a video review where the guy mounted them quite low and the blending was terrible with clear spot effects where the warmer LEDs are placed in the Reef Day bar.
I'm currently planning a new nano on my kitchen bar that is long, narrow and shallow (75x26x19cm) and I have thought about use OR bars but I don't have any possibility to hang the lights so I'm leaning towards getting some GNC silvermoons on very nice plexi brackets instead. There is not so much info about them on the internet, especially as main light source though...

The scape looks neat!

Tak og held og lykke!

Hi!

Bad product, with a Lot of fails. And then the rest is a loooong story.
But the Short version is that the fixture fails, flickering lights, suddently blinking and living it's own life on custom program. But because i wrote 7 days after the 14 days of rights to with draw, they made me to choose between my tank or light. They want me to ship it back to the shop, then to red sea for repair (if not possible they ship a new). But they dont stand by a products that keep animals alive because of 7days over time Days slot about a big firm i think.
Then i started to write in posts about my situation and Story about my new light on facebook. A random man wrote me private. Wanted to know whats up, when i told him my appinion his profile suddently where gone and i was banned for comments to 6jan
-Then Steve Halls (red sea employee) made up a answer/story in the comments i did on facebook (wich i couldnt defend anymore because i was banned) and then i got kicked from the group. Steve Halls profile also vanished. And now i am here. Cant afford to switch RN. But I Will switch to orphek when the money is there!! NEVER MORE RED SEA.
that company is a big f****** joke and service is even worse.

Planning on using a mount hight on 16" for the or3 bars. I think. I Will go with the flow when everything is in house and i got something to build of

thanks man!

Nice, cant wait to see the tank up and running.
You will love the OR3 light bars.
Many local reefer are going to these.
I run one blue plus on my 120 to compliment my Halides.
My ancestery/grandfather comes from Denmark.
This is a pic of the jawbone of a whale my great great grandfather took and his home. He was a master mariner with over 50 years at sea.
I dont remember the town, its still their, but I think they capped the bones.
