That said, the current price increases are due to the very high cost of freight right now, which is directly tied to the small number of flights available. As far as I can tell everybody including wholesalers has seen profit margins go down.
Unfortunately, since restrictions on international travel are some of the most important and easiest ways to limit the spread of a global pandemic, if I'm looking in my crystal ball I don't see this situation changing anytime soon. Like perhaps a year or two. Like all predictions about the future this one may be wrong, I hope so.
