Just wanted to see if anyone uses an alternating light cycle for a purely anemone tank like they do for sps? Something like 4 on 4 off, or 6 on 6 off. I just started my BTA dominated tank and was wondering if these light cycles would improve growth. Lend me your thoughts.

I've never tried it, but tagging along. I would much rather do this than my current setup. My ideal setup would be 6-10am on 10-6pm off, 6-10pm on 10pm-6am off, or something like that. That way I could see my corals, nems, and fish before work and again all evening without running my lights for 12 hours a day.

Ya.. I've been trying to work out a good schedule for myself as well. Man.. I had hoped someone would have some input for us.

well guys, so far it seems that most anem breeders/propagators just do 12 on and 12 light cycle. Most will agree that it is not hardly about the light as much as it's about feeding them on a regular basis.
