Just the tank in general, It looks really nice
Here's some close ups of some of the stuff in the tank. I'll take some better pictures tonight. Some stuff has been added and rearranged over the past few weeks.

What tool did you use to cut out the spaces in your acrylic? Jig saw?
I have a table saw and cut my own baffles and now I'm trying to make a euro brace out of 1 solid piece of acrylic and not sure how to cut the big square hole in the center of the acrylic.

Use a router with a jig. That's the best tool for that job.

Here is my 40 breeder that is over run by a couple large hammers, Xenia, and rose bubble tip anemones. Thus the upgrade in progress...

Where are my nitrates???? I have been running skimmerless for a little over a week and feeding 1/4 cube of frozen and recently started adding flake food to the frozen in the evening and a pinch of flakes in the morning as well. I ran an nitrate test last night and came up with a 0. Im kind of at a loss next step is dosing nitrates but i want to be able to test phosphate accurately before i start that because i dont want to cause an imbalance and end up with dinos or something stupid. So i need to wait till i have funds for a hanna checker first. I am really thinking this is why the few corals that i have are closed up is because they have no nutrients to work with. Am i on the right track?

Yeah, be careful dosing nitrates if you have very low phosphate levels. I did just that. It wiped out any trace of phosphates that I had and I ended up with dinos.

I have been reading up on dinos because i thought i had them, but it doesnt really seem to be the case and like you said i dont want to put anything in the tank that i cant really test for. I need to figure something out tho my zoas and gsp are slowly withering away and i would like to keep them alive.

Nice thread you build Tokash23. Here's my 40g Breeder setup just about 5 weeks old.

IMG_3555.JPG

I think you would get far better coverage and less shadowing if you placed your lights in a single parallel line as opposed to stacked on each other. Breeders are not so wide that the front and backs would be have much less PAR than the rest of the tank. Yes it will drop off some, but you're missing a lot of real estate on the sides of the tank now.

Its funny you mention that i thought it looked like they were stacked too but i think there is a mirror behind the tank if im not mistaken that makes it look like 2 lights but its really just one.

I had mine set up like this as well when I first set it up. Felt like I was not getting enough light on the sides. And not having a par meter made it a nightmare to dial my leds in. So I built a T5 retrofit hybrid. Everything is wayyy happier since I added the T5's
