I'm thinking about setting up a 40 gallon breeder that will be FOWLR at first and plan to add some softie and lps corals later. I am not planning on using a sump because this tank will be in the bedroom and need it to be as quite as I can make it.

I also want to make a hob refugium either a Marina large breeder box (with 80-100 gph pump) or an Aquaclear 110. I plan to keep cheato and pods in this. Will the AC110 be to powerful for the pods?

Also I'm looking at getting Jebao SW or OW series wave makers but I'm not sure how many or which model to get.

Thoughts and recommendations please.

Thanks.

I have 2 tanks, a 40 breeder with a 10 gallon sump and a 29 gallon standard with all hob equipment. The 40 breeder internal skimmer is actually a lot quieter than my hob skimmer.
